OUR STORY 

Bridging the Gap: From a professional tech mother to an entrepreneur 
As a seasoned technology professional and mother, I faced a significant challenge when I noticed my daughter and many Gen Z students were disengaged from traditional education. Research indicated that while digitally savvy, Gen Z often feels overwhelmed by curricula misaligned with their career goals. This inspired my mission to create interactive and engaging educational solutions in harmonious stress free settings that address real world skill needs. Sustainable education is something that delivers value for the student, clinician or patient.

As we move into 2026, Learnroll is focused on impact with intent.We have expanded our platform to include women’s health education, applying our expertise in XR, AI, and applied learning design to help women better understand, manage, and advocate for their health. Our work is grounded in practical education—designed to support informed decision-making and meaningful engagement with healthcare providers.Built through disciplined bootstrapping and real-world deployment, Learnroll exists to solve tangible problems: improving how people learn, how clinicians train, and how health knowledge translates into better outcomes. Our commitment remains unchanged—responsible innovation, measurable value, and long-term trust.

Sushmita Chatterjee

Founder, CEO & CTO  

She has a strong passion & drive to improve learning outcomes for education & health. Prior to her startup role, she has 25+ years of industry experience in niche technology enabled organizations as an enterprise and solution architect, product/program manager in AI/ML , Big Data in healthcare/insurance, data privacy and securities. Her focus is on empowering women's health based on her own patient experiences in her family of early cardiac deaths of men and women.

Mike Thompson

Co-Founder, Creative VP  UI/UX VR  

He is an industry veteran with experience in creative UI/UX design, VR/AR (Unity 3D) and 3D Concept Artist/Graphics with multiple NJ/NY based gaming studio with expertise ranging from games to enterprise military applications. Mike who is a local New Jersey resident joined in as a Lead developer initially to one of the first VR application – Classimmerse for the Oculus GO which has been piloted widely. It is currently being pivoted for Patient Continuing Medical Education course.

Scott Simpson

Co-Founder, Growth & Strategy 

He is an empathetic and innovative sales leader with deep roots in global sales with big tech organization Google Inc and other global healthcare organization with a passion and mission to change next gen healthcare solutions. His wide ranging global expertise , will help Learnroll identify and create aligned product market fit solutions that are value based and innovative. Scott is not only an experienced business development strategist but also a devoted community supporter.

Manjunath Shanabag

Advisory, Angel Member Investor  

He is an advisory member and angel investor with Learnroll with extensive experience in technology sales  and marketing, operational strategy with various strategic goals for healthcare and pharmaceutical enterprises. He has worked in US companies in various capabilities. He had worked with large clients and has more than 25+ years experience in clinical trials data, pharma consulting, delivery, modernization. He has spent more than 15+ years in a Consulting firm Capgemini, Inc.

She is a board-certified cardiologist with more than 30 years experience in patient care and as a medical writer. She is also an award-winning writer, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and President( LastSky Writing LLC)

Sara Wright - Designer

Dr. Kris Vijay, MD, MS, FACC, FNLA, FHFSA

South Asian Cardio Metabolic and Renal Advisory

He is currently the Medical Director at Arizona Heart Foundation. He is a Heart Failure and preventive cardiologist,, an ardent researcher, and an educator for South Asian populations. Trained in India, England, and USA , he has 40 plus years of clinical experience, investigator in 200 plus clinical studies and published 100 plus peer reviewed manuscripts.
